This other day, I had a very bad day. I got a phone from the place I applied for a job, who had chosen someone else. Fine, I can't get lucky every time I thought. So I thought I'd go home and relax for a while. No dice, my e-mailbox had a waiting message for me. Apparently, no one wants to publish my short story entitled "Whiskey"(not even going to bother posting it, as it is in Norwegian, and you won't understand a word). Fine, I thought, this was just an extraordinarily bad day, I'll just let it at all pass, get something to eat and watch some Friends on m computer. No dice. The files were corrupted, my hard drive proclaimed. Oh noes! A reboot or two later told me the disk was inaccessible. Great. My hard drive essentially crashed. Wooptie doo da. Well at least it was only the file drive, not the system drive. So here it is, two weeks later, and I am preparing to format my drives and start from scratch. And for that purpose, we will need a brand new software design. New skin, new layout, new icons, new background, new everything. And then I thought, hey, I haven't been doing any Photoshop for a while. At least not for myself anyway.

So that finally brings me to my point. I thought, I have been gathering a bunch of pictures I find nice, beautiful, cool and/interesting, and thought, why not make one out of those? I later thought, why settle for one, why not make a bunch? We'll start of slow, make a cool, simple, stylish one for starters, refresh my Photoshop skills and get cracking on new work.

So this coming series of pictures will all be wallpapers, made out of pictures I have gathered through the last time. Cred goes to the people who took the pictures, I hope you won't sue me for using your photo's, it's all in good faith. The entire photo set will probably be in 1600x1200 resolution, as this is what I find native on my 21" screen, but I will scale it respectively up or down if I am working with any large or small pictures. Feel free to use these pictures as much as you want for whatever you want, I like sharing.
